Traveling Solo

I can’t recall the number of times I fly solo, well domestic that is. I think I lost count after a hundred flights going to Manila to Cebu and back to Butuan. Before I use to be really scared like when I was still in college, and as I got use to it, I really don’t mind flying solo at all. The only downside traveling solo is dining out by yourself and people staring at you while you eat alone and maybe wondering how I can finish all the food I ordered.  But after a while, I really don’t mind people staring at me, or I’m just very good at not minding the people around me (deadma lang).

At home my family are very use to of having soup, appetizer, meat, and vegetable every meal. So whenever I dine out, I usually order at least two kinds of dish. There was this one time like when I was still single, I was eating at Teriyaki Boy in Tomas Morato (Q.C. I think, it’s no longer there now), I was really hungry that time so I ordered Japanese fried rice, tuna sashimi, beef teppanyaki, and I can’t remember the other dish. A group of boys were seated beside my table since the place was full that time, as they were leaving I didn’t notice that they were watching me eating and actually told the waiter to give another round of tuna sashimi and paid for it. I never got to thank those boys, so if you still remember me and reading this post, THANK YOU BOYS! I was very full that night! Hahahah!dscf1281halfsizedscf1287halfsize

Just a little tip on traveling solo:

  • Be alert at all times and always attend to your personal belongings.
  • If you have one too many luggage, always ask assistance from porters at the airport, because in a way, you are also helping them with their livelihood. Or try not too bring too much bags more than you can handle.
  • Enjoy your “me time” traveling solo, since you wouldn’t have to wait or think of anyone else but yourself.

That’s it for today guys! Hope you like this post, do drop a comment below. Love to hear from you.

Much Love,
